Flow provides a notification feature for participants upon a chat message from a host. It plays a chime whenever a host sends a chat message in chat. Now you can toggle the notification to turn it on and off.
Important: This gets effective only after a host clicks the START EVENT button.
This chat on/off toggle works as an individual option. It mutes/unmutes the chat notification for yourself, not for the entire room/participants in an event.
Configuring Chat Message Notification
This can be configured using the webinar room settings.
- Click the Gear button at the upper right and area in the webinar room (2nd button from the right, the one next to the arrow button (see below)
- From the pop-up box, find the highlighted toggle (see the image below)
- By default, it is turned off (Gray color, toggle on the left)
- To turn the chat notification on, click the toggle. Once it is on, it appears as in the image below
