There are many ways to make your webinar session more engaging and one way of doing so is by using your microphone.

A microphone is a device that connects your computer which allows you to broadcast live audio from across a network to your attendees' speakers, headsets, or earbuds.

As an organizer/presenter you have to know how to activate your microphone. The following steps walk you through the process of activating it. You can enable the microphone in two ways and it is a one-time process.

Method 1

  1. Find the microphone button at the bottom left corner of your Flow webinar room.

  2. Click the microphone button to activate it. As soon as you click, you will see the following configuration popup. Drop the device list to see the microphone. If there is more than one, it will not show in the selected box.
  3. Make sure that the proper microphone is available from the list and is selected. If there is a single device in the list, it will be selected automatically along with the webcam device.
  4. Click the start button after selecting the devices.

Method 2

  1. You have to click the gear icon on the upper right corner of your Flow webinar room.
  2. Make sure that the proper microphone is available from the list and is selected. If there is a single device in the list, it will be selected automatically along with the webcam device.

  3. Close the setting section.

Testing your Microphone

  1. Click the microphone icon on the lower-left corner of your flow room to activate the microphone.
  2. When you activate your microphone, the button appears like the following. Also, note the activity meter. It must move as you speak.
