Automatic Certificates Module
Issuing certificates is one of the core requirements of education and training webinars. With Flow, you can issue certificates to attendees in a few steps. Here's how.
- Create or edit an event
- Get to the Settings section (section 3)
- Click Advanced Options
- Enable Use Certificates
- Set the attentiveness requirement by using the slider
Using Certificates with Attendance Monitoring
You can use attendance monitoring with certificates. If you enable both the options the certificate will be issued by taking both attentiveness, duration and popups clicked.
Logic Behind the Scene
- Attendance length value: The percentage of the event in which the attendee was deemed present. The attentive duration is judged by the leading tab tests, which is polling done every minute to see if the webinar window (tab) is the browser's leading tab
- Popups clicked: If the option was enabled, then it is just the percentage of popups clicked
Example: If 10 popups are sent and the threshold is set to 75%, then the attendee will need to have clicked 8+ popups to pass.
NOTE: The percentage of the above is calculated out of the max; so in theory, this may result in a sort of "grading curve". For example, if a ten-minute webinar is run and the most attentive member-only sat through 8, other attendees will be judged as a percentage of the 8, and not the 10. However, that is not true for popups because popups sent are logged as responses by participant ID 0, for record purposes.
