With the release of Flow version 1.4, we have introduced a new and powerful metric for webinar engagement: The Webinar Engagement Score. This score takes may related data points, such as Attendance Time and Surveys Answered, and combines them to create a score value which you can use to get a better idea of the overall engagement of your audience, at-a-glance, on the report Page for your webinar.

Engagement Score FAQs
Q: What is an Engagement Score?
A: Flow's Engagement Score takes the values of related webinar attendance metrics and compiles them into a single score that can give you a better sense of overall audience engagement. The following metrics are taken into account in this score:
- Attendance Time(*): The total amount of time attended relative to the length of the webinar from start to finish.
- Surveys Answered: Number of surveys answered relative to the total number of surveys asked during a webinar
- Reg Qs Answered: Number of registration questions answered relative to the total number asked on the registration page.
- Msgs & Qs: Number of chat messages sent and questions asked (during a Q&A block) relative to all other attendees. If there was no Q&A session, it is calculated from chat messages.
- Webinar as Main Tab(*): Total amount of time the webinar is recorded as being the main tab in a browser relative to the length of the webinar from start to finish.
- Popups Clicked: Number of Attendance Monitor popups clicked relative to the total number of popups seen during a webinar
- Use actual attendance: The weight is calculated by taking the actual number of attendees who joined the webinar room rather than the total registered (attended + not attended)
You can change the weighting of certain metric values over others, to give you a customized score.
(*) - Metric is weighted to 50% by default. All other values default to 0% and can be changed manually.
Q: How is an Engagement Score helpful for me?
A: The Engagement Score allows you to see, at-a-glance, how engaged your audience was with your webinar content. While this is already an immediately useful metric for an individual webinar, it can be even more powerful in discovering trends over time for a series of webinars. As your webinars evolve and change, you can quickly see how your engagement increases or decreases during a certain span. Also, combined with the new Attendee Presence graph on the Report page, you can determine exactly what content may be attracting your audience, along with other content that may be driving people away.
Q: How can I customize this score to fit my needs?
A: By clicking the Manage button under the Engagement Score graph, you can adjust the weighting of certain metric values to suit your needs.
For Example: If your webinar had a very active chat session and you want to see how that would affect your overall Engagement Score, you can move the weighting slider for "Msgs and Qs" to 50% or higher to make that value carry more weight on the overall score.

Q: What is the default engagement score?
A: The default engagement score is calculated by taking the Attendance Time and Webinar as the Main Tab (50% of each)
Q: Why is the score different when I download the CSV?
A: The scores shown in the downloaded CSV datasheet are taken with the default weighting of 50% for both Attendance Time and Webinar as Main Tab values, and are tabulated for each individual attendee.
Q: Are Engagement Scores available for all past reports?
A: No. The release of the Engagement Score feature was Oct. 23, 2020, so events conducted on or after that date will show a correct Engagement Score. Any reports generated for events before that date will not display the Engagement Score correctly due to different metrics being used.
